About the Author

Growing up  in the great Pacific Northwest I was always taught to leave my camp site better than I found it. Today, this simple rule has turned into a powerful life motivator. As a shepherd of God’s Word, husband, son, and friend, it is my hope to always leave the people in my life and places around me, better than I found them. I pray that as I share stories of my life and lessons I have learned on this blog that they will leave you better than when you entered.

I grew up in Oregon backpacking and camping. Being in God’s creation has always been refreshing and a great incentive for adventure. I recently graduated from Seminary and am currently serving in a collegiate ministry. These endeavors would not have been possible without the support of my loving wife and family. They have helped me in countless ways and have given me the opportunities in life that have written the stories I share on this blog.
